On Friday a trade was made between Carolina and Oakland that won’t get much play on ESPN because it didn’t involve Tim Tebow but the deal is important to fantasy owners for the upcoming season. After losing Michael Bush, Oakland acquired RB Mike Goodson from Carolina for OT Bruce Campbell. This is one of those trades that instantly peaked my interest.

Over the next few weeks I will be looking at players in the upcoming draft that I really like and others that I’m not so high on. One of my favorite players in this year’s class is Cincinnati RB Isaiah Pead.

Things continue to get worse for all-time bust Ryan Leaf. Friday Leaf was arrested in Montana on burglary and drug possession charges. Ever since Tim Tebow was traded to the Jets there has been a lot of discussion as to which quarterback will get most of the snaps this upcoming season. I have a different take: Who really gives a damn? Both Tebow and Mark Sanchez are average quarterbacks. One throws a little better and the other is a better runner. Maybe if they had a child together the Jets would have one good quarterback but as it stands, they have two guys that can’t be 16-game starters in the NFL.

One of the idiots above is making football decisions for the Dallas Cowboys. Do I really need to go on? (more…)
